I recently spent a wonderful day on my family's Kentucky farm! My family has owned the farm since the Homestead Act in 1862, which was a landmark in evolution of federal agriculture law. Passed by Congress during Civil War, the Homestead Act had an idealistic goal: it sought to shape the U.S. West ...by populating it with farmers. This picture is of our oldest family home still standing which was built in 1914. Do you have an old house that is still part of your family's heritage? I would love to see it! Send me a picture!
